Where do the proceeds from the event go?
Huckleberry House was established in 1970 and provides a safe place for runaway youth in Columbus. Today, Huckleberry House provides many programs to help teens across Central Ohio who are in crisis situations, homeless or runaways. The Huckleberry House mission is reaching young people and their families to build stronger lives.

One in seven children will run away before the age of 18. Once they are on their own, they don't have anywhere to go or don't know where to get help. At Huckleberry House we help teens and support families as they learn new ways to cope with the pressures of life. Some youth run away because they are experiencing unsafe situations and feel there is no other escape. At Huckleberry House we believe that teens should be safe. Our services provide alternatives to dangerous situations youth sometimes encounter.

All Huckleberry House services seek to bring needed relief to families in crisis. Huckleberry House provides the following services that support teens and families.

1) The Crisis Program
2) The Family Counseling Program
3) The Transitional Living Program
4) The Youth Outreach Program
5) The William R. McNamara Scholarship Fund

The Young Executive Board Foundation (YEB Foundation) was organized to be the unofficial charitable arm of the Capital Club YEB. The YEB Foundation’s principal purpose is to provide a vehicle through which its civic-minded members may invest in the Central Ohio community. The YEB Foundation is a volunteer-driven organization and has no paid staff or officers.

Currently, the YEB Foundation plans to raise funds though events organized by YEB members and return the net proceeds to the Central Ohio community through donations to other charitable entities and its own programs. The YEB Foundation receives substantially all of its support from the general public.

This year marks the fourth annual YEB-hosted charity event. The previously well-attended, casino-themed fundraisers have been a tremendous success. Sponsorships, auction items and ticket sales have garnered substantial proceeds that have been distributed among past feature non-profit organizations including Dress for Success Columbus, Hope Street Kids, Homeless Families Foundation and the YEB Foundation. A small portion of the proceeds are used to fund the YEB Foundation’s initial organizational expenses and as seed money for future charity events.
